What's old is new again, especially when it comes to the highway, as old motor lodges in every corner of the country are being rebirthed as chic, Instagram-friendly places to not just spend the night but to go for an entire vacation. Located about 50 miles from San Francisco in Calistoga, the motor lodge is fun, funky and combines a taste of nostalgic Americana with all the luxuries expected of a modern-day Napa experience (I highly doubt the motor lodges your grandparents talked about had a spa!).
